Escape the City, Enter the Wild

Nairobi National Park1 Day
- • Nairobi National Park is one of the easiest places to experience Africa’s iconic wildlife, offering an incredible chance to see endangered species in their natural habitat, all with the city’s skyscrapers as a stunning backdrop. The park has beautiful picnic spots and campsites, perfect for a relaxing day, as well as peaceful walking trails where you can take in the scenery. Don’t miss a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you can meet orphaned elephants and learn about their conservation efforts. Later, head over to the Giraffe Center to see the endangered Rothschild giraffes up close, thriving in their natural environment.
- • You’ll be picked up from your hotel or the airport bright and early and driven straight to Nairobi National Park. Located just on the outskirts of the city, this park is one of the best places in Kenya to spot rhinos. Over 100 mammal species, mostly plains game, roam here, and while the Big Five are represented, elephants are the only ones you won’t find.
- • Inside the park, you'll find the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, one of East Africa's leading conservation organizations. A registered non-profit, the Trust relies entirely on voluntary donations from supporters, foundations, and businesses. Focused on preserving Kenya’s wildlife and habitats, they do incredible work to protect endangered species.
- • To wrap up your day, a visit to the Giraffe Centre is the perfect way to end the tour. This center is dedicated to the conservation of the endangered Rothschild giraffe, a species found only in the grasslands of East Africa.
